The Lord's Supper

The Lord's supper is a symbol of the past; what's happening now and what he is doing in our future. God dearly loves you to spend time with Him.  He doesn't want us to spend time with Him.  Parents and Grandparents love to get to know their children. Luke 22:19 When we participate in the Lord's supper we each eat a small piece of bread. Luke 22:20 Whenwe drink a small amount of wine (or grape juice) it represents the bloof of Jesus Christ. OT - blood only covers sin. NT - blood washes away sin. Hebrews 9 God calls us to be a people of greatness in this world.  The bigger picture is that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross provides a way for the  remission of our sins. The death of Jesus Christ is a tremendous gift to us.   It is so precious.  When God gives us a gift and we don't use it; it hurts him.  He wants us to receive the gift of Jesus Christ's death on the cross. The communion meal is a memorial of Jesus' death but it is not a funeral.

Whatever you do, don’t lost your song!

The tests of life reveal how well you take instruction, what you've learned, and what you'll do in any given set of circumstances. What you've been taught is only theory, until it's been tested on real fire. Chuck Swindoll tells the story of a bird named Chippy: 'Chippy the parakeet never saw it coming. One second he was peacefully perched in his cage singing, the next he was sucked in, washed up, and blown over. His problem began when his owner decided to clean his cage with a vacuum. She stuck the nozzle in to suck up the seeds and feathers at the bottom of the cage. Then the phone rang. Instinctively she turned to pick it up. She'd barely said 'hello' and then ‘sswwwwPPPPP!’ Chippy got sucked in. The owner gasped, dropped the phone and snapped off the vacuum. She unzipped the bag and there was Chippy alive, but stunned; covered with heavy black dust. She grabbed Chippy and rushed to the bathtub, turned on the faucet full blast and held Chippy u

1 Corinthians 11

1 Cor 11(GNB) and Matthew 5:21-26 The Corinthian church was operating in gifts but didn't get it. We should not only preach the gospel we believe but we should live it.  We need to be in subjection to Christ;  not in subjection to man.  The question is:  Who do I want to please? Come together and do not have divisions. The Lords supper is a time we focus on the price he paid. The Lords supper was to bring people together, not cause division.  We are not to look down on any other, I have no right.  It is not my business to judge them, that's Gods business, we are called to pray for them. Any form or thing that causes disunity amognst Gods people is very serious. The outward signs of the Lord's Supper are Christ's body and blood. (Bread and Wine) The benefits you have are from the death of Gods Son.  We are commanded to forgive one another, but we must also stop the behaviour that causes the arguments or division. The Holy Spirit never causes scripture to dete
