Love One Another

Bible Ref:   John13:35; 2 Peter 3:9; Acts 1:8; Matthew 24:14; Col. 2:19; Psalm 95:1-7 As Christians we are to meet others needs in love. We’re not their judge, maker or creator.   Church is to be a place where we can demonstrate John 13: 25 “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Even Christian is to be a minster.   Every Christian   is called to be in ministry.   Every task is worthwhile.   God uses ordinary people.   God has saved us, restored us, given us abilities.   The kingdom of God never stops growing.   On earth we can a) sin (that’s what all human beings do) and b) tell others about God and the message of salvation.   In heaven we do neither. God gives the resources and authority to His people.   We don’t have to go to Bible College to tell others about God’s message of Hope and the Good News of Salvation.   We are to be a spoken witness taking the Gospel to all men and women across the world.   He call all people of all nations a

The Story of the Candy Cane

The Candy Cane Story A candymaker in Indiana wanted to make a candy that would remind people of the true meaning of Christmas; so he made the candy cane to incorporate several symbols for the birth, ministry, and death of Jesus Christ. He began with a stick of pure white, hard candy. White to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus, and hard to symbolize the Solid Rock, the foundation of the Church, and the firmness of the promises of God. The candymaker then shaped his cane into the form of a "J" to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to the earth as Savior. It could also represent the staff of the "Good Shepherd" with which He reaches down to to reclaim the fallen lambs who, like sheep, have gone astray. Thinking that the candy was somewhat plain, the candymaker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes to show the stripes of the scourging Jesus received. The large red stripe was for the blood shed by

Your Christian Walk must be your lifestyle not an act

Your Christian walk must be your life-style not an act.  We watch TV or listen to Radio Theatre and see or hear people acting out parts.  It's sad that many people do the same with their Christian Walk.  JESUS DIDN'T.  Why do people do this?  Fear, pride, self-importance just to name a few.  How we live in our everyday life will impact those around us.  Don't just be a "Sunday"Christian and show up with your Bible in one hand and ""spruiking"lots of religious words.  You may get away with it for a time, or appear to do so.  However, you will be found out.  Our lifestyle should be a reflection of Jesus Christ in our lives - an everyday, every hour, every minute journey of faith.  "The cross before me, the world behind me..." At TCC we're encouraged every week by our Pastor to make our Christian walk an everyday occurance - our lifestyle, not an act. What do people see in you in your everyday lifestyle that reflects Jesus? (pos

Passon on the Banner of Witnessing in our Nation

As our Pastor was away Ps Phyllis shared with us on Passing on the Banner of Witnessing in our Nation on Sunday.  The question posed to us was "How do I become a better witness for Christ Jesus?" Bible Readings: Hebrews 12:1-2 Psalm 116 Deut 6:6-7 Romans 8:38 Acts 20:24 Matthew 25:21 We live in a nation that has it's heritage founded on the ways of Almigthy God.  This land is rich in Christian witness with men and women living Christ like lives in very difficult surroundings. Some to mention:  Rev Richard Johnson, Ludwig Liechart, Charles Sturt, Edward Eyre, Caroline Chisolm, Mary McKinnon, Rev John Flynn, Fred McKay and the list goes on. Reference to Australia's Christian Heritage (by Col Stinger).  Suggested reading. When we are involved in witnessing for Christ we all have an enemy who's only desire is to cause disunity amongst God's people and we need to guard against this.  Phyllis then shared three ways that TCC members are involved in the
