Acts 10:44-48

Acts 10: 44 While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit took control of everyone who was listening. 45 Some Jewish followers of the Lord had come with Peter, and they were surprised that the Holy Spirit had been given to Gentiles. 46 Now they were hearing Gentiles speaking unknown languages and praising God. Peter said, 47 "These Gentiles have been given the Holy Spirit, just as we have! I am certain that no one would dare stop us from baptizing them." 48 Peter ordered them to be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ, and they asked him to stay on for a few days.   The Commissioning of the disciples in Acts 1:8 Acts 1:8 But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Joel 1 and 2 (after Hos. and before Amos) the feast of Pentecost.   In this chapter we have a further description of that terrible desolation which should be made in the land of Judah by the locusts and caterpillars (Joel 2:1-11). THE SECOND HABIT; Participating in God’s Family

The habit of Fellowship. Hebrews 10:25. Being a committed team for God; Fellowship with believers in a small group and church. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer. (Hebrews 10:25) Why is Fellowship so Important? 1. (Galatians 6:10) I belong in God’s Family with other Believers. So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith. (Ephesians 2:19) So then, you gentiles are not foreigners or strangers any longer; you are now fellow citizens with God’s people and members of the family of God. (Romans 12:5) In the same way, though we are many, we are one body in union with Christ, and we are all joined to each other as different parts of one body You are Important and worthwhile;  Christians who are not committed to a fellowship as active members in worsh

The habit of a daily time with God (Reading God’s Word) James 1:22 & 25. Personal Bible reading and prayer each day . Bible reading and prayer with our God and ourselves. Mark 1:35, James 1:25 and Romans 12:12 •         Why is this important? 1.       We are created to have fellowship with God. (Genesis 1:26-27) Then God said, “And now We will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble Us. They will have power over the fish, the birds, and all animals, domestic and wild, large and small.” So God created human beings, making them to be like Himself. He created them male and female. These verses from the book of Genesis describe the creation of mankind. According to this passage, God created humans in his own image and likeness and gave them the ability to rule over all the creatures on earth. This passage is considered as the f
