There is no act we can do to be saved.  God gave us the Law (Ex 20).  Matthew 22:37-40 - first act of life as a Christian.   Loving our neighbors as we love ourselves is act of ministry. We all deserved to be judged because we have sinned. Jesus won victory over death.   We will either live eternally with God or etetnally without Him. Eph 2:3 1.  If I break the Law, I deserved to be punished. 2.  Mercy is not getting punishment for what you deserve. 3.  I got what I did not deserve - GRACE goes the extra step.
