Santification - it's the impudent righteousness of Christ in a believer. For santification to work in our life we have to surrender to Christ. We are given the gift of legal perfection before God in the death of Christ on the cross. When God looks at you, you are not a sinner. Yet we struggle with this. Hebrews 10:14 We trust Jesus in the finished work on the cross. We are saved through faith alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 We become set apart (greek: hogihi). God does not give His justification or santification to do with what He wants. This generation God is looking to for change - to be His hands and feet. We are to live growing up in Christ. We do this because we are made fit to go into heaven. If we are not saved, no works will save you. This is a mark of legalism. We who are saved, do good works. Jesus is our advocate in heaven. He pleads our case before the Father. When the Father looks at you; he sees you as righteous. To do deny the work of the Holy Spirit
