Why Should Jesus'mission matter to me?

John 3:16 Our Pastor posed this question to us on Sunday.  "Why Should Jesus'Mission Matter to Me?" Take a moment to reflect on this.  Many of us jump in with all the "church"talk, but what does this question really mean to me, to you? If I want to be like Jesus then my life mission shoud include His life mission.  John 17:18 Our first mission is to God's people (Ezekiel Ch 3) Mission is not an option for a Christian. If I am a Christian I have a Mission.  As the Father sent Jesus, so Jesus sends you. Bible references from Sunday: Psalm 82 Matthew 28 Mark 16:15 Luke 24:46-47 Acts 1:8 Isaiah 59:2ff 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 John 3:6-7 John 17:18 Ezekiel ch 3 1 Corinthians 9:16-27 John 20:21 (posted by Admin)

Your Christian Walk must be your lifestyle not an act

Your Christian walk must be your life-style not an act.  We watch TV or listen to Radio Theatre and see or hear people acting out parts.  It's sad that many people do the same with their Christian Walk.  JESUS DIDN'T.  Why do people do this?  Fear, pride, self-importance just to name a few.  How we live in our everyday life will impact those around us.  Don't just be a "Sunday"Christian and show up with your Bible in one hand and ""spruiking"lots of religious words.  You may get away with it for a time, or appear to do so.  However, you will be found out.  Our lifestyle should be a reflection of Jesus Christ in our lives - an everyday, every hour, every minute journey of faith.  "The cross before me, the world behind me..." At TCC we're encouraged every week by our Pastor to make our Christian walk an everyday occurance - our lifestyle, not an act. What do people see in you in your everyday lifestyle that reflects Jesus? (pos

Offering Opportunties to serve

At TCC we like to offer opportunities for our people to serve.  Serve in areas where they can use their gifts and natural abilities.  We had the priviledge of one of our members who is currently studying to share some insights from what they have been learning.  And isn't that what Church should also be about?  A safe place to share your joys, struggles and what you've been learning and challenged with? One of our members shared "I started to read, I mean really read my Bible about 12 years ago and I was living in a very remote part of Australia.  I was learning pure gospel, commentary by my side, Christian TV...and no religion.  By religion, I mean ritual and ceremony, carried out without God's involvement at all.  It wa not until the end of last year; and particularly the beginning of this year that I ran smack bang into religion.  A battle I never thought I would have to fight..." You may or may not agree with this statement, but this person went on to share

Hope when it hurts most

Our Worship Leader on Sunday shared with us about Hope when it hurts most. Sharing from Louie Giglio's talk on Hope when it Hurts most. The Anchor of Hope... The good news is that we know where peace is found - in Jesus Christ - because trouble is coming.  John 16:33    Where do you turn when life hurts most?  The cross of Jesus Christ.  At the cross we see that:  God loves us (1 John 4), God allows freedom but he maintains control (Acts 2), God can use the worst for eternal good, God paints a canvas bigger than we can see or understand. The cross is proof that He always has a purpose through every circumstance. The cross anchors us to that hope - Jesus Christ - when trouble comes. (posted by Administrator on behalf of TCC)
