Your Instrument Panel

Pilots of planes follow their instrument panels even when it's dark outside or through thick cloud and they can't see.  Skippers on Boats in the ocean have an instrument panel and radar so that even at night they can navigate to find fish.

James 1: 1-4  Sometimes in life we don't know where we're going.  If we live by feelings we'll go all over the place and allow circumstances to direct us.
James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy because you know that...  Pain is a process with a purpose.

Anchors:
Principle No. 1
      • Commonality:  Knowable truths.  1 Corinthians 10:13 -  You can be sure that someone else has gone through or is facing a similar problem like you.  Tips to help you:  There is an abundance of good Christian literature available to us in the Western world, and look for heroes  who have made it through a tough time such as you're going through and come out victorious.
Principle No. 2
      • Bearability:  God never gives us more than we can bare.  He never permits us to carry more than we can cope with.  If God permits trouble to come into your life, he will never give you more than you can carry.  Though we might be bent we are never broken.  If we feel we are breaking then we need to look at the choices we are making in our lives.

The Voice of Experience

Bible readings from Sunday 16th January Message: Acts 17:26-27 Galations 6:7 Genesis Chapter 1:1 Eccelesiates Chapter 3 Romans 2:14-15 Ecclesiates 2:18 1 Corinthians chapter 13 Matthew 5:1-12 10 Commandments - Exodus chapter 20:1-17 We want the world to be fair, but it isn't.  Our view of what is fair may be different from another's view of what is fair.  People deny the existence of God, but that does not mean God does not exist.  Walk through Israel and surrounding areas to see historical evidence.  Look at creation.  Genesis chapter one verse 1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." We don't know from one day to the next what will happen but God is our constant.  We are not here to build "castles" but to proclaim the Message and when we're done we take the Father's hand and go home. The following story shows us the voice of experience - we can learn a lot from a child's perspective... Sandcastles by
