The Way of Salvation- Being “Right” is by Faith.

Last week we talked about our starting point and the difference our view of the world will be when it starts with God the Creator, so let us find out or for some review the Word of God and find out more as to how, why and what of being “Right with God is about.”
1. We learn from our own experience read Romans 5: 1-5
Because we are made “right” by faith - with God we have the following:
Peace with God- knowing right from wrong through His Word.
Access to God’s grace- help given to man by God
Joy in the hope of sharing God’s glory – our destiny is to be in heaven with Him for eternity.
God’s love poured out into our hearts - the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth.
2. We learn this because of what Christ has done for us – showing us God’s great love.
 While we were:
Weak: Christ died for the ungodly v6
Sinners: Christ died for us v8
Enemies: we were reconciled by His death v 10 (reconciled = to cause to be friendly or harmonious again – establish harmony, in this case us with our maker)
So the believer is saved from the wrath of God v 9
The believer is saved through His life v 10
Let us dig into the Word a little more: We learn we are saved when we realize the heritage we have from Adam and Christ; Read Romans 5:12-21
Adam: (by his disobedience) we have sin, death, separation from God and therefore judgment.
In Christ (by His obedience) we are made righteous, a spiritual life, reconciliation (have harmony with God- the differences of sin, death separation and judgment are dealt with), and justification (we have been pronounced free from guilt/ blame or made right with God.)
Let’s continue our search of the “Word” and see how God made the Way- We are under Adam by our natural birth; We come under Christ by our spiritual birth (John 3).
The period of “no law” from Adam to Moses (Genesis) – But there was sin and death!
God in His grace made a way= a sin offering in obedient faith
The period of the “law (Exodus 20)”
After Moses- sin increased
God in His grace made a way for forgiveness by ritual offerings for atonement (Leviticus the 3rd book in the Torah or Law we refer to this as the Old Testament).
When sin reigns the result is death;
When grace (through our faith in Christ) reigns the result is righteousness and eternal life
As we see in the “Word” what GRACE does:
Saves: Titus 2:11 For God’s grace, which brings deliverance, has appeared to all people.
Teaches: Titus 2:12 It teaches us to renounce godlessness and worldly pleasures, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives now, in this age;
Equips: Ephesians 4:7 Each one of us, however, has been given grace to be measured by the Messiah’s bounty.
Enables: 1 Cor. 3:10  Using the grace God gave me, I laid a foundation, like a skilled master-builder; and another man is building on it. But let each one be careful how he builds.
Sanctifies: Galations 1: 15-16  15But when God, who picked me out before I was born and called me by his grace, chose 16 to reveal his Son to me, so that I might announce him to the Gentiles, I did not consult anyone;
Strengthens: 2 Cor. 12:7 Therefore, to keep me from becoming overly proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from the Adversary to pound away at me, so that I wouldn’t grow conceited.
That is why we are here today and that’s why we Praise Him

The Voice of Experience

Bible readings from Sunday 16th January Message: Acts 17:26-27 Galations 6:7 Genesis Chapter 1:1 Eccelesiates Chapter 3 Romans 2:14-15 Ecclesiates 2:18 1 Corinthians chapter 13 Matthew 5:1-12 10 Commandments - Exodus chapter 20:1-17 We want the world to be fair, but it isn't.  Our view of what is fair may be different from another's view of what is fair.  People deny the existence of God, but that does not mean God does not exist.  Walk through Israel and surrounding areas to see historical evidence.  Look at creation.  Genesis chapter one verse 1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." We don't know from one day to the next what will happen but God is our constant.  We are not here to build "castles" but to proclaim the Message and when we're done we take the Father's hand and go home. The following story shows us the voice of experience - we can learn a lot from a child's perspective... Sandcastles by
