WHAT IS LOVE.

What is love, and how do we look at it from a faith point of view, and how do we do that. Well first of all we need to search out how we feel about love, and what see God says about love.

Song of Solomon 8: 6-7
Set me like a seal on your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
passion as cruel as Sh’ol;
its flashes are flashes of fire,
[as fierce as the] flame of Yah.
7 No amount of water can quench love,
torrents cannot drown it.
If someone gave all the wealth in his house for love,
he would gain only utter contempt.
I may speak in the tongues of men, even angels;
but if I lack love, I have become merely
blaring brass or a cymbal clanging.
2 I may have the gift of prophecy,
I may fathom all mysteries, know all things,
have all faith — enough to move mountains;
but if I lack love, I am nothing.
3 I may give away everything that I own,
I may even hand over my body to be burned;
but if I lack love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind, not jealous, not boastful,
5 not proud, rude or selfish, not easily angered,
and it keeps no record of wrongs.   RUDE!!!
6 Love does not gloat over other people’s sins
but takes its delight in the truth.
7 Love always bears up, always trusts,
always hopes, always endures.
8 Love never ends; but prophecies will pass,
tongues will cease, knowledge will pass.
9 For our knowledge is partial, and our prophecy partial;
10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass.
11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child,
thought like a child, argued like a child;
now that I have become a man,
I have finished with childish ways.
12 For now we see obscurely in a mirror,
but then it will be face to face.
Now I know partly; then I will know fully,
just as God has fully known me.
13 But for now, three things last —
trust, hope, love;
and the greatest of these is love.

Hebrews 11:1
Trusting[a] is being confident of what we hope for, convinced about things we do not see.
Habakkuk 2:4
4 “Look at the proud: he is inwardly not upright;
but the righteous will attain life through trusting faithfulness.

SO WHAT IS LOVE, CAN YOU TELL ME?
It is said that everything on earth is a shadow of what is in heaven. We are created in His image, we are a shadow of what and who He is. So it would follow that the love we feel for each other is a shadow of what He feels for us, we can never attain to the degree of love that He has for us, but still we are called to love to the utmost the ones He has placed us with. Does this mean that we never disagree, no, does this mean that we never correct each other, no, it means that we do everything in love.
Have you ever been told off by a “righteous in their own eyes” Christian, who says at the end of a tirade of what you have done wrong, I only tell you this because I love you, and your first thought is “well it doesn’t feel like it” and you are so right, as for real love, it is nothing like it. But on the other hand, have you ever had a friend, or family member come to you and say, “Look I think that you may have this wrong, or even “I know that you have this wrong” and help you to deal with a very serious matter in your life, and you feel no condemnation from them. Why is that? they have done it in love.  If that friend or family member had seen your problem, but had not helped you  deal with it, because you may become offended, would that be love, no it would not. It is not the dealing with, it is the way of the dealing with, the way of love.
How do we deal with our problems “With the word of God”

Hebrews 4:12
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
12 See, the Word of God is alive! It is at work and is sharper than any double-edged sword — it cuts right through to where soul meets spirit and joints meet marrow, and it is quick to judge the inner reflections and attitudes of the heart.
John 1:7
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
7 He came to be a testimony, to bear witness concerning the light; so that through him, everyone might put his trust in God and be faithful to him.

The Voice of Experience

Bible readings from Sunday 16th January Message: Acts 17:26-27 Galations 6:7 Genesis Chapter 1:1 Eccelesiates Chapter 3 Romans 2:14-15 Ecclesiates 2:18 1 Corinthians chapter 13 Matthew 5:1-12 10 Commandments - Exodus chapter 20:1-17 We want the world to be fair, but it isn't.  Our view of what is fair may be different from another's view of what is fair.  People deny the existence of God, but that does not mean God does not exist.  Walk through Israel and surrounding areas to see historical evidence.  Look at creation.  Genesis chapter one verse 1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." We don't know from one day to the next what will happen but God is our constant.  We are not here to build "castles" but to proclaim the Message and when we're done we take the Father's hand and go home. The following story shows us the voice of experience - we can learn a lot from a child's perspective... Sandcastles by
