Santification and Justification (part 2)

Justification- justified before Christ.   Message of the cross.   If Jesus did not die, there would be no remission of sin.

Santification is you working out your salvation with the Lord. Live a life that takes a clean path.  Take authority over our lives in Christ. Live as Christ commands.  It is not instant.  It takes time.   It involves you and God. We cannot work our to salvation.  Once we have it when then work through it.

Galations 2:20

Isaiah 64:6

Colossians 1:5-11

God gives us new life in Christ.   Are we going to live walking with him?  We are free to choose- so free that we can be free or burdened.  If we allow ourselves to come back underthe Law then we cannot come under grace.  Faith exptessing itself through love.  Runthe race.  It's important what we listen to.

Galations 5:1-8

Galations 5:22

So those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death all the sinful desires.   God works with us as we work with him.   We are to be builders- edify each other.  What did you do with Jesus Christ.   What did you do with the Holy Spirit?

Justification is legal declaration that happens immediately.   Your name is sealed in the Book of Life in the courts of heaven.

Santification is you working out your salvation with the Lord. This is a lifelong process.

To sanctify also means to be set apart for holy use.   God comes and reveal Himself to you.

Troubled people who know the Lord but refuse to submit to His authority.

John 10:36

We stand upon the word of God.  Not on our own word.

Romans 15:16 - our role to do.

We are saved first to become a child of God .  We are then called to live our lives out with the Lord through the santification process.

1 Corinthians 6:11

1 Corinthians 1:2

Psalm 1

God wants us to be chosen; not frozen.  Don't be frightened to make a mistake.   It's not the mistake that matter; it's what you do with it.

1 Timothy  4:4,5

Acts 2:42    this is what a Church is

Hebrews 2:11  -  Jesus is our rest.

All that we need is given to us in Christ.

Romans 6:23 - sole purpose of Jesus going to cross was to bring everybody back to God.  Not everyone sees what God wants us to do.

Romans 6:1-2   we don't sin as much as we please because God has called us to live in santification not sin.

Anything that teaches you that you must work for your salvation is a cult.  Works to gain salvation.

Even our best deeds are as filthy rags before God.

God makes us right not 'our works'.  In a cult theology no one is saved until the final day when works are weighed and then decided.

1 John 5:13  You can know now im this life, you have eternal life.   If you live in a works theology can only hope that maybe.   Cults don't teach justification and santification correctly.  They twist it.

There is only one way to the Father is through Jesus Christ.  The message of the cross.

We don't know from one day to the next what will happen but God is our constant.  We are not here to build "castles" but to proclaim the Message and when we're done we take the Father's hand and go home. The following story shows us the voice of experience - we can learn a lot from a child's perspective... Sandcastles by
