Surrender - let God do the work in us

Santification - it's the impudent righteousness of Christ in a believer.

For santification to work in our life we have to surrender to Christ.

We are given the gift of legal perfection before God in the death of Christ on the cross.  When God looks at you, you are not a sinner.  Yet we struggle with this.   Hebrews 10:14

We trust Jesus in the finished work on the cross.   We are saved through faith alone.  Ephesians 2:8-9  We become set apart (greek: hogihi).

God does not give His justification or santification to do with what He wants.  This generation God is looking to for change  - to be His hands and feet.  We are to live growing up in Christ.  We do this because we are made fit to go into heaven.  If we are not saved, no works will save you.  This is a mark of legalism.   We who are saved, do good works.  Jesus is our advocate in heaven.  He pleads our case before the Father.   When the Father looks at you; he sees you as righteous.   To do deny the work of the Holy Spirit in raising Christ from the dead is the unpardonable sin.

When we put our faith in Jesus; we are fit to be called a child of God.   We are then called to grow up.  Temper tantrums are not the mark of someone who has grown up.  They are a mark of a immature child.  Being offended shows the mark of immaturity.

1 Corinthians 15: 51-57

Even when we do the things we don't want to do; if we are a child of God we are not a sinner.   Matthew 6:41; 2 Timothy 4:8.  Phil. 4:8

Paul did not give licence to give into sinful nature but to surrender completely to Christ.

Romans 8:5 - be after the Spirit of God.

Surrender to the Lord; not self-improvement.

We don't know from one day to the next what will happen but God is our constant.  We are not here to build "castles" but to proclaim the Message and when we're done we take the Father's hand and go home. The following story shows us the voice of experience - we can learn a lot from a child's perspective... Sandcastles by
