Can two walk together except they be in agreement?

What Makes Me Righteous?  God.  Through Jesus we are  made righteous.  Can two walk together except they be in agreement?  In marriage it takes one to keep it together; but it takes two to make it flourish and grow.  The same for a church or a family.

Bible Reference:   1 John 2:3-17, 28-29

Romans 5:18-19

The whole issue of being righteous to God is being obedient.   Everyone is righteous to something.  I would hope that for a Christian, it would be to God.

Ephesians 2: 1-3

We trust in Jesus to make us right.   We remember that before we come to Christ we were disobedient.
As Christians, we are a separated people.

Hebrews 5:9
We have to turn to Jesus Christ and obey and follow him.

We obey the Word of God and live as He wanted.  We went through emotional things but this is not about emotion.

Philippians 2:12 We need to be obedient to God and grow up.
Children that are disobedient to their parents are everywhere.  In the Lord we have to grow up.  He wants us to grow up and learn the consequences so we don't end up in eternal damnation.

Philippians 2:6-8 - Jesus humbled himself to be obedient even death on the cross.  How much more we should be obedient to God?

1 Samuel 15  Because Saul did not obey God completely Israel still suffers from King Saul's disobedience.
Do we actually trust God as righteous?

1 John 2:5  We love God who cares and loves us.  It matters what is said of them that no one wanted them.  A little baby is so obedient to love.

John 14:23-24
1Peter 2:21-24 - example of purity
Arguments don't save people; Showing people Jesus.  Our righteousness comes from God.  There is a way we and others know that we are in right relationship with each other - we love one another.  Not a romantic love; but love each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.
John 12:34-35  The worst thing we can do is fight.

The church in Thessalonica was known for it's love and love in action.

We do not love the world. 1 John 2:15-17.  Love is not that we have loved God but that God loves us and bringing salvation.

There will always be two things:
worldliness
Godlinesd
It's our choice.

It's not about emotion; it's choice.  If I am going to be Australian then  I live ans behave like an Australian.  If I am going to be a Christian then I live and behave like a Christian.

God demonstrated his love to the world; he sent his son into the world to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Don't pick up your sins over and over.  Jesus didn't die for the church; Jesus died to save the world.   Jesus wants all to be saved.  We are to have the nature of Christ.

We show the love of God to everyone.  There is a different nature.  Live out the nature of Jesus in our lives.

The Voice of Experience

Bible readings from Sunday 16th January Message: Acts 17:26-27 Galations 6:7 Genesis Chapter 1:1 Eccelesiates Chapter 3 Romans 2:14-15 Ecclesiates 2:18 1 Corinthians chapter 13 Matthew 5:1-12 10 Commandments - Exodus chapter 20:1-17 We want the world to be fair, but it isn't.  Our view of what is fair may be different from another's view of what is fair.  People deny the existence of God, but that does not mean God does not exist.  Walk through Israel and surrounding areas to see historical evidence.  Look at creation.  Genesis chapter one verse 1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." We don't know from one day to the next what will happen but God is our constant.  We are not here to build "castles" but to proclaim the Message and when we're done we take the Father's hand and go home. The following story shows us the voice of experience - we can learn a lot from a child's perspective... Sandcastles by
