Turn to Jesus

9Bible reference:  Acts 20:24; Romans 7:23-8:6; Romans 8:1; Romans 9:14

A man once said, there are two dogs inside.  The one you feed the most wins.

Original sin makes our bodies dead.   Paul tells us that he struggles,  he's carried around a 'dead' body.   He's complaining about the sinful nature that attacks us.  He's about serving Jesus Christ.   He says, what a wretched man I am; he wants to be rid of the sin nature that is a burden to the saved soul.  Yet Paul comforts himself with three things:

- a righteousness deep within him
- the Law of God written in him by the Holy Spirit (Romans 7:16);that he delights in the Law of God in the inward man (Romans 7:22)  All who are born again,  delight in the law of the Lord.  2 Corinthians 4:16
- his great comfort lay in Jesus Christ

Whether we believe it or not,  we are winning.  We still live in this world and the pressures of the flesh attack us.   Paul still breaks out in praise.  Daily,  not just at church,  praise God.  It's a remedy to be much in praise.  Start praising God and you take on a different perspective.   It's Jesus Christ who delivers us.

Jesus is our advocate with the Father.  Don't fight the flesh. You'll lose.  Turn to Jesus!  He'll win the battle.

Blessed be God that gives us the victory in Christ.   Ephesians 3:17 - put your faith in Him,  and you will be established.

Our bodies are a house of clay.  The spirit is the life.  When you are born again,  you did not receive the spirit of bondage to fear.  Roman's 8:1

We have the privilege of justification (just as if I have never sinned); sanctification (fit to live in heaven), that we may walk after the spirit and not after the flesh (Romans7:23-8:6).

God had to something else because we are unable to keep the law.  He gave us Jesus.  Hebrews 10:4.

Only Jesus, only Jesus saves!

Our treasury is Christ! We are pardoned from sin and death; freed from the judgments of the Law; freed from dominionation of the flesh

Romans 8:5-6  What's in your mind?  Are you allowing the Lord to speak into your mind. Are you after the flesh or the things of the Lord.

You cannot your wealth,  worldly treasure,  house,  etc to heaven.
Those who are after the flesh dwell on earthly things.  Proverbs 23:7

How will you be in your life?  What they think, what they do, value shows what is their treasure.

What do you value?  What do you dwell on with the most satisfaction?

Your mind will be a seat of wisdom  or of decay.

Don't lose your life.   Keep your mind set on God and spiritual things.

Be a person of righteousness and integrity.   Turn to Jesus, not flesh to save you.

Turn to Jesus!

The Voice of Experience

Bible readings from Sunday 16th January Message: Acts 17:26-27 Galations 6:7 Genesis Chapter 1:1 Eccelesiates Chapter 3 Romans 2:14-15 Ecclesiates 2:18 1 Corinthians chapter 13 Matthew 5:1-12 10 Commandments - Exodus chapter 20:1-17 We want the world to be fair, but it isn't.  Our view of what is fair may be different from another's view of what is fair.  People deny the existence of God, but that does not mean God does not exist.  Walk through Israel and surrounding areas to see historical evidence.  Look at creation.  Genesis chapter one verse 1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." We don't know from one day to the next what will happen but God is our constant.  We are not here to build "castles" but to proclaim the Message and when we're done we take the Father's hand and go home. The following story shows us the voice of experience - we can learn a lot from a child's perspective... Sandcastles by
