Life is like a Jigsaw Puzzle

Life is like a jigsaw puzzle.  Our life falls on the table in a 1000 pieces, God wisely, carefully puts pieces together until it all makes sense. Pain is a process with a purpose.  God doesn't cause our pain.  Because we live in a world that is sinful and fallen, we will experience pain, trials and suffering.  God always has a purpose.  His purpose:  to conform us to the image of His Son - reflect the image of Christ.  Only God can make something beautiful from ashes. Through this process oiur characters are built, we draw closer to God, we become more like Jesus. To avoid bitterness, know that God is with you in the journey.  Jesus wept.  He wept for Jerusalem and He wept when Lazarus died.  He knows what we feel.  He isn't far away at these painful times, He stands right beside us.   In these difficult times you need to : draw close to God by spending time reading the Bible continue to meet in community i.e. meet for worship with God's people (Church) We may not un

Your Instrument Panel

Pilots of planes follow their instrument panels even when it's dark outside or through thick cloud and they can't see.  Skippers on Boats in the ocean have an instrument panel and radar so that even at night they can navigate to find fish. James 1: 1-4  Sometimes in life we don't know where we're going.  If we live by feelings we'll go all over the place and allow circumstances to direct us. James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy because you know that...  Pain is a process with a purpose. Anchors: Principle No. 1 Commonality:  Knowable truths.  1 Corinthians 10:13 -  You can be sure that someone else has gone through or is facing a similar problem like you.  Tips to help you:  There is an abundance of good Christian literature available to us in the Western world, and look for heroes  who have made it through a tough time such as you're going through and come out victorious. Principle No. 2 Bearability:  God never gives us more than we can bare.  He never per

Building each other up

One goal of each minister (that's every believer) is to build each other up, not pull one another down.  We do this so that each of God's people can reach their full potential.  Jesus doesn't tell us to conform to the standards of this world.  We do need to be upstanding citizens whilst here on earth, but we do what God wants us to do in the world.  That is to encourage and use our gifts and talents to help God's people (the Church) to grow and be all that God intended them to be. A pure bride to the bridegroom. 1 Thess. 3:1 4:18 Colossians 1:28-29 2 Corinthians 1:24 2 Corinthians 5:14 2 Corinthians 11:3

In One Mind for the One Purpose

(from www.phyllispianta.com ) At Tolga Community Church we never really know who the Lord will send along to encourage us on a Sunday. Last week we were blessed with Simon , one of the technicians from U.C.B.-Vision Radio Network, Australia. Simon has been on the road for several weeks and will be for several more as he travels Queensland checking and repairing the stations that have been affected by the recent natural disasters. He has been a breath of fresh air and working with him on site is an enjoyable experience, I would describe him as one of those quite achievers whom the Lord sends just at the right time(His timing- always perfect). The common connection we at T.C.C. and U.C.B-Australia have is to use radio as a resource to keep "The Word" going out through the air waves over our nation and as Vision Radio says, "Connecting Faith to Life" . Spreading the Good News Across Australia You are Worth While and Created to Succeed.
