Can two walk together except they be in agreement?

What Makes Me Righteous?  God.  Through Jesus we are  made righteous.  Can two walk together except they be in agreement?  In marriage it takes one to keep it together; but it takes two to make it flourish and grow.  The same for a church or a family. Bible Reference:   1 John 2:3-17, 28-29 Romans 5:18-19 The whole issue of being righteous to God is being obedient.   Everyone is righteous to something.  I would hope that for a Christian, it would be to God. Ephesians 2: 1-3 We trust in Jesus to make us right.   We remember that before we come to Christ we were disobedient. As Christians, we are a separated people. Hebrews 5:9 We have to turn to Jesus Christ and obey and follow him. We obey the Word of God and live as He wanted.  We went through emotional things but this is not about emotion. Philippians 2:12 We need to be obedient to God and grow up. Children that are disobedient to their parents are everywhere.  In the Lord we have to grow up.  He wants us to grow up and le

Romans 5:1-5

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Walk in the Light

1 John 1:1-10 Choices in life is very important.  The choices you make matter. There  were two men who died in the past year.  Both died in their 90's.  Both grew up in Christian homes.   One chose to fulfil their ministry in God and one chose to fulfil their lusts in this physical life. We must realise who God is.  Acceptance of who God is.  God has ways to help us deal with our sin.  He does not want us to  'flog' ourselves.   The Old Testament sacrifices covered sin; the New Testament tells us our sin is washed clean. If we're going to have fellowship with God, this issue of sin has to be dealt with. 1 John 4 Fellowship begins: Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ- our trust in God.  Nothing we do.  1 John 4:4; 1 John 4:9. We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 There are times when we question if we are saved.  If we want to have fellowship with God we trust Him.   Sometimes we do fall and fail.  It's not about whether we fall or fail; it's what

The Lord's Supper

The Lord's supper is a symbol of the past; what's happening now and what he is doing in our future. God dearly loves you to spend time with Him.  He doesn't want us to spend time with Him.  Parents and Grandparents love to get to know their children. Luke 22:19 When we participate in the Lord's supper we each eat a small piece of bread. Luke 22:20 Whenwe drink a small amount of wine (or grape juice) it represents the bloof of Jesus Christ. OT - blood only covers sin. NT - blood washes away sin. Hebrews 9 God calls us to be a people of greatness in this world.  The bigger picture is that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross provides a way for the  remission of our sins. The death of Jesus Christ is a tremendous gift to us.   It is so precious.  When God gives us a gift and we don't use it; it hurts him.  He wants us to receive the gift of Jesus Christ's death on the cross. The communion meal is a memorial of Jesus' death but it is not a funeral.

Psalm 103

Praise the Lord , my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.  Praise the Lord , my soul, and forget not all his benefits—  who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,  who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,  who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.  He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:  The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.  He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;  he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.  For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;  as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.  As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;  for he
